If you are a creative visual designer who can transform something from an idea to a digital masterpiece, we want to hear from you! AeroVision Canada Inc., an award-winning drone operator, is searching for a part-time designer to support our marketing & technical writing team.

Position Summary:

The Visual Designer at AeroVision Canada Inc. is responsible for the creative design and production of graphic art and promotional materials to support marketing campaigns, investor initiatives, and technical documentation. While we have some basic guidelines, the Visual Designer would be free to conceptualize and implement new design solutions that align with marketing and sales strategies from concept to completion. You will have access to our image collection of company captured images and video and be free to draw from stock photography and videography where required. The ideal candidate is technically inclined and has specialized knowledge of systems and programs required for graphic design, photography, and video creation for both static and digital mediums. 


  • Creative Development – Listen to team concepts and ideas and provide creative solutions and drafts that support the main objective. However, you shouldn’t be shy about offering new ideas and advice when you think there’s a better option to explore. 

  • Design & Production – Execute design concepts for program branding, marketing material, graphic content for technical documentation and proposals. You will be provided with an iMac and access to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programs.

  • Data Management – use existing images, provide online (free or paid) alternative images that support the end products needs, and help create a multimedia archive that supports our Business Development needs.

  • Planning – Organize and prioritize design work to meet the program schedule and deadlines. 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in visual/graphic design or equivalent 

  • Minimum of three years experience in areas of graphic design and photography

    • a portfolio of work will be requested

    • You will be given an image editing task as part of the interview that will help us to identify your skill level and creativity

  • Knowledge in graphic design tools and software such as,

    • Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Lightroom 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills 

  • Strong attention to detail but able to work quickly and efficiently, and 

  • Good teamwork and collaboration skills. 


Additional Assets:

  • Knowledge of Wix, WordPress and website coding,

  • Experience editing videos with transitions, effects and audio,

  • Knowledge in video production tools and software, and

  • Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro. 


  • Hourly rate is between $17 - $22, depending on experience. 


8-20 hours per week. Can vary based on company and candidate needs.
